What is Spider Solitaire?
Spider Solitaire is a classic two-deck patience (solitaire) card game. The goal is to build same-suit sequences from King down to Ace and clear the tableau. Unlike Klondike solitaire, Spider uses ten columns and focuses on suit runs. How do you play Spider Solitaire free online?
On spiderimp.com: choose 1-suit, 2-suit, or 4-suit mode, then drag cards between columns. You may place a card on the next-higher rank (suit does not matter for placement). Only same-suit descending stacks move together as a group. Empty columns accept any card or valid stack. Face-down cards flip face-up when uncovered. When no column is empty, click the Deal pile (top-left) to deal one card onto each of the ten columns. Completed King-to-Ace same-suit runs move automatically to the Completed area. What is the difference between 1 suit, 2 suits, and 4 suits?
1 suit is the best beginner mode. 2 suits adds more planning for casual daily play. 4 suits uses a full two-deck mix and is the classic hard mode. Compare them on the difficulty page.

Why can’t I deal when a column is empty?
Classic Spider requires every column to have at least one card before you deal. An empty column is a parking spot for rearranging runs. Fill it first, then click Deal. Full answer: empty-column rule.
